Cartoonists eat, too.

Thanks for your interest in my work. And make no mistake, it IS work. I make my living from the sale of my cartoons. It is my only source of income. I have worked at my craft for over 30 years and am considered one of Canada's top editorial cartoonists. Many people erroneously believe that cartoonists don't work very hard and make lots of money. I can assure you that's not true.

If you want to use one of my cartoons for your website, newspaper, magazine, newsletter, t-shirts, bumper stickers or anything else, I'd appreciate a few bucks thrown in my miserable direction. Cartoonists need to eat, too.

If you're a publisher (web or print) please pay your normal rate for freelance artwork. If you're not sure what an appropriate payment would be, here are a few examples:

• Big city daily papers typically pay $75 - $100 to publish one cartoon.
• Small dailies and weeklies typically pay $15 - $30
• Book publishers typically pay $100 - $200
• Website publishers typically pay $10 - $50
